Mission Statement

To provide the public with a fair, independent and impartial forum for resolution of conflict under the law by promoting fair and equal access to the courts, utilizing public resources efficiently and effectively, and providing education, empathy, and understanding to those navigating the judicial system in our community.

Justice Court Judge

George F. Vo-Duc is a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors in Philosophy in 1996, and a Juris Doctorate in 2001.  George F. Vo-Duc worked as Deputy District Attorney for Salt Lake County from 2002-2017.  In February of 2017, George F. Vo-Duc was appointed to preside the Midvale Justice Court.  

 What we do 

The Midvale Justice Court has jurisdiction over class B and class C misdemeanors, Small Claims, as well as Infraction level citations committed within the boundaries of Midvale City.  These include all traffic, parking, and criminal offenses. The Midvale Justice Court is committed to providing fair treatment in accordance with the law and the mission of the courts.

The Court will be closed the following holidays:  

New Year's Day: January 1st - Martin Luther King, Jr: January 15th - President's Day: February 19th - Memorial Day: May 28th - Independence Day: July 4th - Pioneer Day: July 24th - Labor Day: September 3rd - Veterans Day: November 12th - Thanksgiving: November 22nd and 23rd - Christmas: December 24th and 25th. 

The court will be closed Monday, January 22nd from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (training purposes)
